Today, Governor Walker signed Act 100, the Farm Freedom Act which legalizes the cultivation of industrial hemp in the state. This monumental effort could not have been done without the statewide coalition comprised of the Wisconsin Farmers Bureau, Wisconsin Farmers Union, Hempstead Project Heart, Oneida Tribe, Wisconsin Counties Association, Menominee Tribe, St. Croix Chippewa Tribe, over 2,000 residents, and business interests with a stake in the hemp industry. Most of all, it was because of you the folks who visit our website and edcuate your friends, family, significant others about the benefits of industrial hemp for the people and the planet.
Take a pat on the back and let's focus our efforts to the national level where we need to expand the protections within the Farm Bill. We'll be implementing a national strategy in 2018 to bring flourishing hemp economies back to the tribal, urban, and rural communities in the United States.
